What We Believe

These foundational beliefs define who we are.

About Bible

WE BELIEVE the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word of God, given to humanity as the final authority on all matters of faith and practice.

2 Timothy 3:16-17

About God

WE BELIEVE in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, equal in power and glory.

Matthew 28:19

About Jesus Christ

WE BELIEVE that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross as a substitute for sinners, and rose bodily from the dead. He ascended into heaven and will return in glory to judge the living and the dead.

2 John 1:1, 14; Colossians 2:9; Romans 4:25

About Salvation

WE BELIEVE that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone. Salvation is the gift of God, and no one can earn it through works or human effort.

Ephesians 2:8-9

About the Return of Christ

WE BELIEVE that Jesus Christ will physically return to the earth in power and glory, bringing final judgment and the fulfillment of His kingdom. Though the timing of His return is unknown, we eagerly await His coming.

Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16

About the Holy Spirit

WE BELIEVE in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, who regenerates, indwells, and empowers believers for godly living and service. The Holy Spirit equips the church with spiritual gifts for the edification of the body.

John 16:13; John 14:26; 1 Corinthians 12:4

About the Church

WE BELIEVE that the church is the body of Christ, composed of all true believers, and exists to glorify God through worship, teaching, fellowship, and the spread of the gospel. Christ is the head of the church, and elders are called to shepherd the flock.

Colossians 1:18; Matthew 28:19; Acts 20:28

About Humanity and Sin

WE BELIEVE that all people are created in the image of God, and by their own actions, fall short of God’s perfect standard. While humanity is inclined to sin, each individual becomes a sinner through their own choices and rebellion against God. Apart from Christ, all are under condemnation and in need of salvation.

2 Romans 3:23; James 1:14, Romans 5:12

About Baptism and the Lord’s Supper

WE BELIEVE that baptism by immersion is the public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ and the Lord’s Supper is a memorial of His death and resurrection, both being ordinances to be observed by believers.

Matthew 28:19; 1 Corinthians 11:24

About Eternal Destiny

WE BELIEVE in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the unsaved—the saved to eternal life with God, and the unsaved to eternal separation from God in hell.

Matthew 25:46; Romans 6:23
